Gents,
Sunday's game was a tough battle that could have gone either way, but we lost 3-5. The result and the way we played leaves us with mixed feelings: "We had a lot of new guy's" vs. "we could/should have done a lot better".
That being said: I want to compliment the newbs with their first official game of the season. You guy's were serious and gave it your best. Based upon your effort you guy's deserved more playing time. The game was so close and chaotic that I decided to see if the more experienced guy's could settle our play's and get us a lead in the 3rd quarter. Unfortunately the opposite happened. Even though, I think you guy's have seen that there are 'vacancies' in every line. It's not too late to earn you spot in the starting line-up or to become a regular sub. Keep on improving your game and you'll get there soon. Competition makes us stronger. And we really need to become stronger...
I think we should start focussing on things we can improve as a team. Several players asked me if we can spend more time on tactics and positioning. Although I don't think we are ready for another theory session we can ask coach Ray to spend extra time on the following aspect of our game during practice. It's your own task to watch tutorials, attend practice and ask questions during practice untill you know the basics.
Things to improve (in order of importance....)
Getting in shooting position
Shooting
Following your man on defense
Transition a->d
Ground balls
Transition d->a
Sliding
Those fucking penalties (5:30 min total again)
Spend some time to get to know the different positions in this instruction:

Know this shit!!!
Also, try to find tutorials that match your position(s) or your skills-to-improve list. I would suggest the following website, almost everything about lacrosse.... http://video.kudda.com/sports/boys+lacrosse
Did I already say we need you to attend practice more often?
See you at practice.

I think the biggest thing to work on is what happens between the restraining lines. ok niether the defense nor the offense was particularly stellar but on the same side not all of it was horrible.
we were getting killed in transition, ground balls weren't getting scooped, bad passes were made, silly turn overs. theres definitely some room for improvement.
These are all things we could work if more guys showed up to practice...
and before i forget:
